Rohrman Automotive Group is seeking an Apprentice Technician to join our collision repair team as an Automotive PaintPrepper. You will help prepare vehicles for high-quality refinishing, with opportunities to learn and grow alongside experienced technicians.

The role emphasizes attention to detail, safety, and efficient work in a fast-paced shop environment. Relevant experience is a plus, but the position also welcomes motivated individuals aiming to develop in collision repair and refinishing.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience with sanding, masking, priming, and vehicle surface preparation.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Responsibilities

• Prepare vehicles and components for paint by washing, sanding, masking, priming, and cleaning surfaces.
• Remove trim, moldings, lights, and other components as needed to prep for refinishing.
• Mix primers and prepare surfaces to ensure proper paint adhesion and finish.
• Inspect repaired panels for imperfections and finalize surface prep before painting.
• Collaborate with body technicians and painters to ensure timely repairs.
