Job summary

Hendrick Automotive Group’s Rick Hendrick Chevrolet Collision Center in Norfolk seeks a Paint Helper to assist the Painter after body repair. You will apply paint, cover non-painted areas, and buff surfaces while maintaining a clean, safe workspace.

Position requires normal attendance, adherence to CSI standards, and participation in training. Shifts may include evenings or weekends, with a focus on following collision center guidelines and company core values.

Qualifications

• Must have a GED and/or high school diploma.
• Valid Driver’s License is required.
• Automobile Salesperson License is listed in certificates/licenses.
• OSHA respiratory medical exam may be required.

Responsibilities

• Assist Painter as needed.
• Paint vehicle parts after repair work is complete.
• Cover parts not to be painted.
• Buff or clean surfaces after paint dries.
• Request necessary materials.
• Help perform painting efficiently per guidelines.
• Maintain CSI at or above company standards.
• Keep a clean, organized and safe work area.
• Participate in required training.
• Record all hours worked in the timekeeping system.
• Follow safeguards rules and regulations.
• Demonstrate company core values.
• Comply with company policies and procedures.
• Observe all safety rules and regulations in duties.
• Other duties as assigned.
