Job summary

Precision Toyota of Tucson is seeking an experienced Collision Center Detailer to join our team. This role is the final step before a repaired vehicle goes back to the owner, ensuring a showroom finish. You will wet sand, polish, and blend repaired areas, inspect for defects and prep cars for guest delivery in a fast-paced shop environment.

The ideal candidate has collision center detailing experience, proficiency with rotary and dual-action polishers, and a commitment to high quality standards.

Qualifications

• Proven detailing experience in a collision center, body shop or paint environment.
• Skilled with rotary and dual-action polishers, wet sanding and multi-stage paint correction.
• Understands fresh paint cure times and how to work on newly refinished surfaces without damaging them.
• Strong attention to detail and high quality standards.
• Able to work efficiently and meet repair-cycle deadlines.
• Valid driver's license and an insurable driving record.
• Able to stand for long periods, bend, kneel and lift.

Responsibilities

• Detail vehicles inside and out after collision repair so they're ready for guest delivery
• Wet sand, compound, buff and polish newly refinished paint to remove dust nibs, overspray and surface imperfections
• Blend and polish repaired areas to match the surrounding factory finish
• Remove overspray, masking residue, sanding dust and compound from glass, trim, moldings, door jambs and interiors
• Clean and dress engine bays, wheels, tires and jambs after repairs
• Do a final quality inspection and report any paint or body problems to technicians before delivery
• Keep tools, equipment, chemicals and work areas clean, organized and safe
• Move vehicles safely around the shop and lot as needed
