Jim Shorkey Family Auto Group’s Shorkey Collision Center in Jeannette, PA is hiring multiple skilled auto collision repair technicians to staff our new facility. You will perform extensive collision repairs on fleet vehicles and other makes/models, using a range of body repair tools and equipment.

Formación

• High School diploma or GED with vocational/technical automotive body repair training.
• 2 years automotive body repair experience.
• ICAR certification is a plus.
• Valid driver's license with clean MVR.
• Pass pre-employment background and drug test.

Responsabilidades

• Perform automotive body shop maintenance, upgrades, and repairs on fleet vehicles.
• Remove excessively damaged parts and replace with replacement parts.
• Assist other Fleet Maintenance staff when dismantling interiors or exteriors as needed.
• Repair dents and depressions; fabricate parts for special projects; repair doors, hoods, and trunks; work on safety systems; welding when needed.
• Operate air tools, sanders, paint guns, welders, frame machine, paint booth, diagnostic tools and software.
• Work in harmony with the production schedule to meet deadlines.

Description

We are looking for multiple skilled auto collision repair techs to staff our new facility near Jeannette, Pa.

Welcome to Shorkey Collision Center, where we specialize in extensive collision repairs and rebuilding for all makes and models, including vans, box trucks, buses, and medium‑duty trucks. With years of experience and a team of expert technicians, we are dedicated to providing top-quality service and getting you back on the road safely.

We are offering up to $10,000 sign on bonus for candidates that qualify at the time of hire.

Responsibilities:

• The purpose of this classification is to perform technical and skilled Automotive Body Shop maintenance, upgrades, and repairs of damages, of all Fleet vehicles and equipment
• Removes excessively damaged parts and attaches replacement parts using the appropriate tools: removes upholstery, accessories, trim, etc.
• Assists other employees in the Fleet Maintenance department when interior or exterior of a vehicle needs to be dismantled in order to complete necessary work
• Performs repair functions: repairs dents and fills depressions with appropriate materials; fabricates parts on special projects; repairs door, hood, and trunk latches; repairs vehicle safety features, such as airbags, anti-lock brakes, and sensors; performs welding, when needed; performs major and minor electrical system tracings and repairs to doors and windows; files, grinds and sands repair surfaces using required tools; paints and refinishes repaired surfaces
• Operates or uses various equipment, tools, and supplies in order to complete work assignments: operates and maintains air tools, sanders, paint guns, welders, cutting tools, frame machine, paint booth, mechanic tools, diagnostic tools and software, and other power or motorized equipment
• Work in harmony with the production schedule including meeting deadlines

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED, with vocational or technical training in automotive body repair; supplemented by (2) years experience in automotive body repair work; or any combination of education, training and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills and abilities for this job.
• ICAR Certified is a PLUS!!!
• Must have Valid driver’s license with clean MVR.
• Must be able to pass a pre screen background and drug test.
