Job summary

Lane College in Jackson, Tennessee invites applications for the position of Strength and Conditioning Coach. This full-time role reports to the Director of Athletics within the Athletics Department, and requires leadership in designing and implementing sport-specific conditioning programs for all college teams.

Responsibilities include collaboration with sports medicine and coaches, ensuring NSCA/CSCCA compliance, annual needs analysis, budget proposals, and adherence to NCAA rules.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; master's preferred.
• Requires NSCA CSCS certification and Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association (CSCCA) certification.
• First Aid, AED, and CPR certification required.
• Ability to walk, stand, or sit for long periods and lift at least 20 lbs.
• Overnight travel at least 50% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Designs and implements strength training and conditioning programs for all school-sanctioned teams.
• Works with sports medicine/athletic training staff for rehab and strengthening.
• Collaborates with sport coaches, sports medicine, and staff.
• Maintains and reviews program policies per NSCA/CSCS standards.
• Performs annual needs-analysis and budget proposals for the program.
• Ensures compliance with NCAA and conference rules and Lane College policies.
