Job summary

Everett Community College is seeking a Head Coach to lead its intercollegiate athletics program. You will recruit and develop student-athletes who balance academics, athletics, and personal growth, while building a culture of discipline and performance.

The role reports to the Director of Athletics, manages coaching staff and logistics, ensures NWAC compliance, budgets, fundraising, and fosters a strong, engaging educational experience for student-athletes.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience coaching competitive athletics at the high school, club, or collegiate level, or equivalent experience.
• Valid Washington State Driver’s License held for at least one year.
• First Aid, CPR, and AED certification required within 30 days of hire and maintained throughout employment.

Responsibilities

• Lead the assigned intercollegiate athletics program, including training, practice, skill development, competition strategy, and in-game coaching.
• Uphold team standards that promote discipline, accountability, and competitive success.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to support player development and team performance.
• Recruit and retain student-athletes who meet program expectations for academic readiness, athletic potential, and personal conduct.
• Oversee the work of assistant coaches and staff to ensure alignment with program goals and College expectations.
• Set and communicate clear expectations related to preparation, participation, and sportsmanship.
