Job summary

Clark College is seeking a part-time Sign Language Interpreter 3 to join the Disability Access Center and provide ASL/English interpreting for students, faculty, and events on campus. The role includes scheduling, timekeeping, and paperwork, with potential overtime and summer hours.

The position requires RID/NAD certification or an accredited interpreter training program and relevant experience in higher education.

Qualifications

• Certification from RID or NAD level III-V OR Graduation from an accredited Interpreter Training Program.
• Three (3) years of documented experience in interpreting for the deaf, including at least 1 year in a post-secondary setting.
• Knowledge of RID Code of Professional Conduct and applied college settings.

Responsibilities

• Provide sign language interpreting services.
• Assist with scheduling part-time interpreters for classes, events, substitutions.
• Track interpreter hours and process time sheets and contracts.
• Provide materials in alternate formats and assist with proctoring exams.
• Support students with disabilities and daily office operations.
• Collect and analyze data and generate reports.
