Keene State College Upward Bound Programs is seeking teaching staff for a 2026 Summer session. Responsibilities include co-developing and teaching assigned classes, collaborating with TRIO Mentors, and supervising students in a college-like environment aimed at supporting first-generation and/or low-income high school students from NH and VT.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in education and/or field related to one of the following academic program subject areas: biological sciences, physical sciences, mathematics, or Writing/language arts.
• Ability to design and implement appropriate curriculum given broad goals.
• Knowledge of innovative and flexible teaching methods.
• Ability to establish strong rapport with economically and culturally disadvantaged youth.
• Interpersonal skills, sensitivity to the needs of the disadvantaged, and commitment to the goals of the Upward Bound Programs.
• All offers of employment will be contingent upon a successful completion of a Background Review.

Aufgaben

• Co-developing, planning, and teaching all assigned classes, and interdisciplinary project.
• Provide learner feedback
• In collaboration with TRIO Mentors, attending to student learning needs
• Attending lunch and supervising students
• Documenting student progress and report concerns
• Attend to student concerns and behavioral support and complete timely reporting
• Educate students on program and campus policy
• Other programmatic duties as assigned
• Attending and contributing to all training, staff meetings, department meetings, opening and closing ceremonies, and evaluation sessions
• Completing end of summer evaluations for students in courses by deadlines and submitted to supervisor
• Attend regular supervisory meetings
