Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a liaison with post-secondary institutions to ensure alignment of concurrent enrollment programs and policies.
  • Support students in the concurrent enrollment process, including managing applications, registration, and course scheduling.
  • Develop and implement orientation and support processes to ensure the success of concurrent enrollment students.
  • Communicate regularly with concurrent enrollment students, parents, high school and college faculty, and other stakeholders to provide updates on program policies and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate data tracking systems for concurrent enrollment students, including enrollment data, academic progress, and completion rates.
  • Participate in program evaluation and assessment to identify areas for improvement and make recommendations for program growth.
  • Facilitate access to college resources and opportunities geared toward assisting underrepresented populations
  • Offer guidance to students throughout the financial aid process
  • Support junior/senior level college counseling teachers with lesson planning and execution
  • Provide college counseling coaching support to the junior/senior counselors as they prepare students for college access and success in higher education
  • Participate in bi‑weekly meetings as a member of the College & Career Access Team which utilizes PDSA cycles to track and identify students who require additional support
  • Assist in the organization of family engagement workshops related to college access goals
  • Support in the maintenance of student data progress and share regularly with the Director of College Advising
  • Assist Director of College Advising in planning and coordinating parent nights, college visits, guest speakers, career exploration trips, and other college and career access programming
  • Become familiar with Scoir, PowerSchool, and UC/CSU applications.

FLSA Classification: Classified

Full-Time/Part-Time Status: Hourly, part-time, non-exempt

Regular/Temporary: Regular

Salary: Hourly Framework (Step 3, A-K) Range: $29.30 to $35.73/hour, placement is based on verified experience.

Benefits: Not eligible for benefits, this position is between 15 - 20 hours a week

College Pathways Coordinator

Developed by a coalition of San Diego civic leaders and educators, High Tech High opened in September 2000 as a small public charter school with plans to serve approximately 450 students. HTH has evolved into an integrated network of sixteen charter schools serving approximately 6,350 students in grades K-12 across four campuses. HTH seeks College Pathways Coordinator to provide instructional support for students at our schools. This position is in-person, on campus.

Job Summary

The College Pathways Coordinator serves as a liaison between HTH and post-secondary institutions, supporting students through the enrollment process, advising on course offerings, and communicating with all stakeholders. The College Pathways Coordinator will develop student orientation and support processes and maintain data tracking systems for enrollment students.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • The College Pathways Coordinator is a member of an HTH College and Career Access Team (CCAT). While the primary responsibility is to serve in the capacity of the College Pathways Coordinator, as a CCAT member there will be other duties that are aligned with CCAT’s broader mission of college and career access and readiness.
  • Serve as a liaison with post‑secondary institutions to ensure alignment of concurrent enrollment programs and policies.
  • Support students in the concurrent enrollment process, including managing applications, registration, and course scheduling.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

To qualify for this position, an individual must possess any combination of experience and education that would ensure being able to meet and fulfill job requirements.
