JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

The College of Information Sciences and Technology seeks an Administrative Assistant, Intermediate Support. This position reports directly to the Dean’s Office Supervisor and is responsible for supporting the dean’s suite’s daily operations, providing high-level administrative, financial, and event support. Confidentiality is essential due to the sensitive nature of some issues handled in the dean’s office.

The ideal candidate will be familiar with executive-level office responsibilities and University faculty affairs guidelines and procedures. They should be capable of handling multiple tasks simultaneously and working with guidance from the Dean’s Office Supervisor.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing high-level administrative support to the dean and associate deans, including calendar management, meeting preparation, travel arrangements, and special projects.
  • Supporting faculty affairs processes overseen by the dean’s office.
  • Assisting with faculty searches in coordination with Human Resources, including processing visa forms for international hires.
  • Collaborating with college leadership to review and revise administrative guidelines and procedures.
  • Working with the college’s Finance Office to process Workday forms and approvals and preparing data for presentations.
  • Establishing best practices and standardized procedures within the dean’s office team.
  • Coordinating events such as seminars, workshops, and retreats.

Education and Experience: High School Diploma/GED or Vocational Training/Degree plus at least two years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination.
