The Summer College Internship Program is a 10-week paid internship experience that provides undergraduate and graduate students with the opportunity to attend development workshops, network, and be part of our company. Our college interns work on meaningful projects, are mentored under their respective managers, and continue to develop throughout the entire summer. Through the internship program, our interns can attend development workshops that are focused on key business concepts. Essential Accountabilities
  • Specific duties will vary by assignment; specific divisional callouts are listed below.
  • The Research Insights intern will conduct primary research projects that will help improve the performance of the Health Plan and its affiliates. Primary research will include developing and fielding simple surveys, data analysis, and reporting. In collaboration with team members, the intern will also develop recommendations to improve operational efficiencies and the customer experience.
  • Works with a mentor and supports key strategic projects.
  • Completes work assignments based on business needs, departmental priorities, and individual qualifications.
  • Performs a mix of technical and/or non-technical tasks that will cover a broad range of business-related projects.
  • Creates and delivers presentations at completion of internship.
  • Consistently demonstrates high standards of integrity by supporting the Lifetime Healthcare Companies' mission and values, adhering to the Corporate Code of Conduct, and leading to the Lifetime Way values and beliefs.
  • Maintain confidentiality and protection of member privacy in accordance with the company policies.
  • Regular and reliable attendance is expected and required.
  • Performs other functions as assigned by management.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Desired Majors/Degree Programs Include: Public Health, Psychology, Business Analytics, Market Research, Business, Mathematics, Marketing, Statistics or similar program(s)
  • Preferred (but not required) experience with: Basic experience in survey design, data analysis, and report writing. Highly effective communication and project management skills. Experience with analytical software packages (e.g., SPSS, SAS, R) or survey administration platforms (e.g., Qualtrics, Survey Monkey, Google Forms) is preferred but not required. Must be willing to take additional trainings in the area of survey design and data analysis.
  • High School diploma along with proof of continuous college enrollment (enrolled in a full-time undergraduate or graduate degree program).
  • Must be in good academic standing.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to interact with technical and non-technical audiences and interface with staff at all levels of the company.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining strong attention to detail changing environment and deliver high-quality work product.
  • Ability to work well in a team establishing good working relationships with peers.
  • Demonstrates strong organizational, analytical, problem-solving and prioritization skills.
  • Proactive approach to work, displaying creativity and flexibility in completing assigned tasks.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement of skills and team functioning.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently, as well as on intra- and inter- departmental teams as needed.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience using a desktop computer in a professional environment.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to work while sitting and/or standing at a workstation viewing a computer and using a keyboard, mouse and/or phone for three (3) or more hours at a time.
  • Ability to travel across the Health Plan service region for meetings and/or training courses as needed.
