Job summary

Jackson College is seeking a Cross Country Coach to oversee the recruitment and training of student-athletes. Responsibilities include budget management, scheduling, and ensuring academic performance of athletes. The ideal candidate will have extensive coaching experience, effective communication skills, and be available during afternoons, nights, and weekends.

An Associate Degree is required, with a preference for a Bachelor’s in a related field. CPR and First Aid certification or the ability to obtain it within 30 days of hiring is essential.

Qualifications

• Must have at least three years of coaching experience in a college, high school, or club setting.
• Knowledge of personal computers and relevant software is essential.
• Effective written and oral communication skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Selects and recruits student-athletes for Cross Country.
• Submits preliminary budget, schedules, and travel needs.
• Supervises assistant coaches and volunteers.
