Job Overview
As a Collegewise counselor, you will guide high‑school students and their families through the entire college admissions process. You will build relationships, develop tailored applications, and help families feel confident and supported.
Track Details
- Core Counselor – Relationship‑based counseling across flagship programs. Manage a caseload of 40–50 students over multiple years.
- Signature Counselor – High‑touch, frequent engagement with a maximum caseload of 25 students.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain trusting relationships with students and families.
- Advise on application strategy, deadlines, and college selection.
- Assist with essays, recommendations, and interview preparation.
- Coordinate with schools and monitor application progress.
- Provide ongoing support throughout the admissions cycle.
Qualifications
- Experience working with high‑school students, a high school counselor/director, or in a related role.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to establish trust quickly.
- Commitment to continuous learning and improving counseling skills.
- Passion for empowering students and families in the college‑admissions journey.
- Ability to work a Pacific‑time zone schedule and be located in the U.S.
Compensation
- Partnerships Counselor: $65,000+
- Core Counselor: $68,000+ (scale with experience)
- Signature Counselor: $75,000+ (plus potential caseload bonus)
