Job summary

Whitman College is seeking a Communications Videographer to support marketing and news teams by shooting and editing video content for branding, social media, and internal communications.

You will work with the Video and Multimedia Producer, manage multiple assignments to tight deadlines, and develop a strong portfolio while adhering to college brand standards. The pay rate is $17.13 per hour, with a start date in September 2026.

Qualifications

• Experience shooting and editing video with a DSLR camera.
• Proficiency in video editing software (Premiere, Final Cut Pro, After Effects).
• Excellent time management and ability to meet deadlines.
• Strong verbal and written communication including grammar and spelling.
• Creative eye with strong visual storytelling.
• Ability to work independently and handle feedback.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Video and Multimedia Producer and Content Team to create videos.
• Shoot and edit video content for marketing, social media, and news stories.
• Interview subjects on-camera and shoot B-roll to develop narrative.
• Complete assignments on deadline and track progress using Wrike.
• Support college brand standards and contribute to video storytelling.
