Job summary

COATES Inc. seeks a College & Career Readiness Intern to support student programs in Indiana. This impactful internship includes responsibilities such as advising students, facilitating planning sessions, and tracking student engagement. Ideal applicants will have experience with youth, strong communication skills, and be comfortable using Google Workspace. Interns will gain real-world experience in education and receive mentorship from COATES Inc. leadership while contributing to vital student success efforts. Pay is $12.00/hour with a commitment of 10-15 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Experience working with youth, ideally high school students.
• Reliability in transportation to travel to schools.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate college and career planning sessions in schools.
• Provide 1:1 or small group student advising.
• Collaborate with school staff and families.

Skills

Strong interpersonal and presentation skills

Strong communication and organizational skills

Experience working with youth

Familiarity with college/career readiness topics

Comfortable using Google Workspace

Bilingual is a plus
