Job summary

Yosemite Community College District seeks a Substitute Athletic Trainer for Modesto Junior College. The role provides first aid, injury prevention, athletic training, and rehabilitation for student athletes in intercollegiate sports, under the team physician's direction.

The incumbent coordinates with coaches and staff, maintains health records, and supports conditioning programs. This is a short-term assignment with on-site duties at multiple YCCD sites, including MJC-East and MJC-West.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in athletic training or closely related field.
• Two years of responsible experience in practicing sports medicine or athletic training with student athletes.
• CPR/AED certification and NATA certification are required or in current good standing.

Responsibilities

• Provide first aid, injury prevention, athletic training and rehabilitation for student athletes.
• Evaluate injuries and determine follow-up care under the team physician.
• Maintain health records and assist with pre-season screenings and inventory management.
• Design and supervise conditioning programs under physician direction.
• Provide athletic training coverage for home/away events and emergencies.
• Mentor student interns in the Athletic Treatment Center.
