Blue Cliff College in Gulfport, MS is seeking a College Algebra Instructor to deliver instruction under the Director of Education. The instructor will ensure student success by guiding, assessing, and supporting learners in line with course syllabi.

Responsibilities include teaching from the approved curriculum, engaging students, and maintaining communication. Strong math knowledge, organizational skills, and the ability to work with staff are essential.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of instructional theory, basic education principles, practices and methodologies.
• Knowledge of policies, procedures, expectations, and practices.
• Knowledge of basic mathematical skills (percentages, fractions, etc.).
• Working knowledge of office software and student record systems.
• Strong organizational skills and data management.

Responsibilities

• Teach material from approved curriculum per course schedule.
• Motivate students to participate in class and assignments.
• Maintain communication with students to achieve completion objectives.
• Respond clearly to student questions and inquiries.
• Provide timely feedback and support on assignments.
• Maintain archives of student work and report progress/evaluations.
• Communicate with students and staff via email and phone.
• Coordinate with faculty on course and student-related issues.
• Study instructor’s manual and adhere to requirements.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.
