This position involves assisting engineers with preparing design drawings, field inspection reports, and cost estimates. The candidate will also help research engineering solutions, develop plans and specifications for contract work, oversee construction projects, and monitor progress against timelines.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Matriculation at an accredited college or graduate school, with employment conditioned upon continued enrollment.
  • For Level II (Information Technology): Enrollment in a program related to IT, computer science, management information systems, or data processing, with at least 9 semester credits in the relevant field.
  • For Level III (Information Technology Fellow): Similar to Level II, with appointments made through the Department of Information Technology and Telecommunications.
Preferred Skills
  • Enrollment at an undergraduate level in mechanical, civil, or environmental engineering.
  • Minimum 2.5 GPA (on a 4.0 scale).
  • At least a junior standing in college.
Additional Information

Maximum tenure is 6 years. Students can work full-time during vacations but not during academic sessions. NYC residency is generally required within 90 days of appointment.
