AdmitYogi, a college admissions platform built by Crimson Education, is seeking mentors to guide high school students toward top universities. This fully remote role offers a flexible schedule and one-on-one support for students in grades 8–12.

You’ll run 30-minute video sessions for profile-building and provide feedback on essays, activities lists, and recommendations. Timely, reliable reviews within 24–48 hours are expected.

Qualifications

• Current or incoming student at a Top 10 US university.
• Having gone through the US college admissions process and understanding what it takes.
• Fast, reliable and disciplined with feedback within 24–48 hours.
• Strong writing ability and clear communication.
• Comfortable building rapport with younger students and their families over video calls.

Responsibilities

• Profile building (grades 8-11): regular 30-minute video sessions every two weeks, guiding academics, testing, major exploration, and extracurriculars, with a personalised roadmap and ongoing check-ins.
• Application support (senior year): reviewing and giving feedback on personal statements, supplemental essays, activities lists, and recommendation memo drafts; mainly asynchronous with occasional live practice sessions.

The Role

Are you a current or incoming student at a Top 10 US university? Want flexible, remote work while helping high school students get into their dream schools?

AdmitYogi is looking for college admissions mentors to work one-on-one with students in grades 8-12. You’ll support students at every stage: from building a strong profile years before they apply, through to essays, activities lists and everything else in their final applications.

What are the main responsibilities for this role?

The role has two parts, and you may work with students in either or both:

• Profile building (grades 8-11): regular 30-minute video sessions, every two weeks, helping younger students plan their academics and testing, explore majors and schools, and build their extracurriculars. You’ll guide each student through a personalised roadmap and keep in touch with them between sessions.
  
• Application support (senior year): reviewing and giving feedback on application materials, including personal statements, supplemental essays, activities lists and recommendation letter memos. This work is mostly asynchronous, inside the AdmitYogi platform, with occasional live sessions such as interview practice.
  

The role fits around your own schedule. That said, students rely on timely feedback and consistent support, so reliability is essential. You should be able to return reviews within 24-48 hours and turn up to every scheduled session.
