This position is remote. Individuals must reside in Oregon, Washington, or Idaho as a condition of employment. Work is conducted from a home office, necessitating a quiet, secure space with minimal noise and a reliable, fast hard-wired internet connection for seamless communication and productivity.

The starting pay ranges from $25.00 to $30.00 per hour. Additionally, bilingual candidates who pass a standardized test will receive an extra $2 per hour.

Collectors assist other OCCU team members and members by providing support regarding collections. They manage delinquent accounts, contact members to resolve outstanding balances, and work to recover funds while maintaining positive member relationships.

Qualifications for this role include a minimum of two years of experience in a similar position, familiarity with collections processes, and strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Candidates must demonstrate extensive knowledge of lending functions, including bankruptcy, collateral protection insurance (CPI), titles, credit reporting, GAP, mechanical breakdown insurance (MBI), debt protection, repossessions, account/loan maintenance, deceased member accounts, straw loans, and automated clearing house (ACH) setup. Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs is essential.
