Accendra Health is seeking a remote US Billing Representative to service customer accounts, ensure accurate billing, timely remittance, and pursue payer follow-up to maintain cash flow.

You will use ERP systems, maintain medical terminology, and collaborate with care teams. This full-time remote role offers benefits and the chance to impact patient billing processes across our nationwide network.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and phone/email etiquette.

• Familiar with medical terminology and insurances HCPC/ICD-9 codes.
• Documents activities in ERP system accurately and timely.
• Experience with billing inquiries and resolving patient billing issues.

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate billing to customers and maintain account integrity.
• Follow up with payers to ensure uninterrupted cash flow.
• Communicate with customers, clerical staff, and insurers by phone and email.
• Identify and resolve patient billing complaints.
• Edit and resubmit claims to secure payment.
• Prepare and review clean claims for submission to insurances (electronic or paper).
• Document activities in ERP system accurately.
• Utilize MS Word and Outlook for daily tasks.
• Provide feedback to Group Team Lead on account issues.
• Contribute to defined objectives and outcomes.

The anticipated salary range for this position is $20.00 hourly.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The representative is to service the needs of our customers by accurately billing customer accounts, assuring timely remittance, and taking immediate action on issues that involve account integrity. The representative will also follow-up with payers to facilitate uninterrupted cash flow.

ESSENTIAL TASKS:

• Must possess excellent communication skills and the ability to practice proper phone and email etiquette,

• Skilled in answering a telephone in a pleasant and helpful manner.

• Ability to read, understand and follow oral and written instructions.

• Answers questions from customers, clerical staff, and insurance companies.

• Identifies and resolves patient billing complaints.

• Handles customer collection calls.

• Familiar with medical terminology and insurances HCPC/ICD-9 codes,

• Documents activities in ERP system in an efficient accurate and timely manner.

• Ensures the billing activity is handled correctly.

• Ability to evaluate and secure the needed Rx’s, PA’s and medical justification to facilitate payment of claims for initial and review/appeals payments.

• Ability to edit and resubmit claims for payment.

• Prepares and reviews clean claims for submission to various insurances either electronically or y paper.

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Outlook.

• Provide feedback to Group Team Lead regarding issues regarding accounts.

• Conducts routine tasks as directed; works under clearly defined guidelines.

• Contributes to specific objectives and outcomes as directed.
