Job summary

Veros Credit, LLC is seeking an Account Servicing Specialist (Impounds) to service auto loan accounts from its Santa Ana, CA and Ontario, CA offices. In-office roles are available, with California-based remote work for eligible candidates.

The position requires 3+ years in collections and strong communication abilities. Responsibilities include negotiating payment arrangements, reviewing for special assistance, skip-tracing, and documenting all activities.

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience in the collections field, preferably subprime consumer lending.
• Effective communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read, interpret and apply federal, state, and local collections regulations.
• Ability to interact with customers professionally and tactfully.
• Flexible schedule and overtime as needed.

About The Position

The Account Servicing Specialist (Impounds) will be responsible for servicing auto loan accounts.

In-office positions are available in Santa Ana, CA and Ontario, CA. California-based remote work is available for employees who reside more than 30 miles from our office locations, subject to position eligibility and company requirements.

• Follow and ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures as well as the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA).
• Negotiate payment arrangements with borrowers to successfully obtain a commitment for payment and/or reinstatement of accounts, including offering suggestions as to how they can meet their obligations, propose alternative payment methods, and establish payment procedures.
• Review accounts for special assistance (loan modifications, extensions, etc.) and gather the necessary information and/or documents to provide assistance
• Initiate and review repossession efforts to recover collateral.
• Accurately and professionally document account information and collection activities.
• Conduct investigative activities to determine the whereabouts of customers through database searches and system records (Skip-Tracing).
• Perform outbound calls and receive inbound calls through an auto-dialing system or manual telephone system.
• Maintain satisfactory work efforts on an assigned queue and meet/exceed daily and monthly goals.
• Other duties as assigned.
• 3+ year(s) of experience in the collections field, preferably in the subprime consumer lending industry.
• Effective communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read, interpret and apply federal, state, and local collections regulations.
• Ability to interact with customers in a professional, tactful, and sensitive manner.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment and to work independently and as part of a team.
• Available to work a flexible work schedule and overtime as needed.
• High School Diploma or GED.

Salary:

$20.00 - $23.00 per hour + Bonus
