Job summary

Hawkins, Inc. is seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist to manage collections and customer account reconciliation. You will research disputes, respond to inquiries, and pursue past-due balances while upholding SOX and corporate controls.

Ideal candidates have 0–1+ years in collections or credit, strong communication, and proficiency with JD Edwards and Microsoft Office. This on-site role offers a comprehensive benefits package and yearly compensation in the $53k–$58k range plus bonus

Responsibilities

• Perform collection activities and reconcile accounts.

• Resolve billing discrepancies and initiate invoice corrections.
• Review and recommend process improvements to increase efficiency.
• Maintain customer information and sales tax data.
• Review, update, and maintain reporting and department spreadsheets.
• Maintain strong relationships with customers and internal departments.
• Respond to customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
• Follow SOX procedures and corporate accounting controls.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Perform customer account reconciliation, research account disputes and bill discrepancies, respond to

customer inquiries, and collect on past due customer accounts.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Collections

• Perform collection activities
• Work with customers and sales agents on reconciling and resolving outstanding balances
• Make recommendations for doubtful accounts, debt write-offs and 3rd. party collections
• Resolve billing discrepancies and initiate invoice corrections
• Review and recommend process improvement to increase efficiency and effectiveness

Customer Record Maintenance

• New customer and ship to set up
• Maintain customer information
• Maintain sales tax information

Reporting

• Review, update, and maintain reporting
• Maintain department spreadsheets

Customer Service

• Maintain strong working relationships with customers and internal departments
• Respond to customers in a timely and professional manner
• Follow SOX procedures and controls, as well as corporate accounting procedures

Requirements

REQUIREMENTS AND PREFERRED BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE:

• 0-1+ years collections and/or credit experience

Expected Compensation:

$53,000-58,000/yearly + 5% bonus eligibility
