Job summary

Under the direction of the Loan Resolution Supervisor, you will review events and member requests, coordinating with insurance and GAP to recover funds and protect assets.

You will prepare and mail notices, negotiate remedies, and analyze each member's financial standing to project potential losses while delivering strong member service.

Qualifications

• High School diploma with at least three years of collection experience in mortgage, mobile home, consumer loans and/or credit card collections, preferred.
• Knowledge of a year of Fair Debt Collection regulations and Bankruptcy practices.

Overview

Under the direction of the Loan Resolution Supervisor, the Collections Specialist is responsible for collecting delinquent accounts for direct and indirect consumer loans, Visa loans, mortgage loans and mobile home loans. Reviews and resolves Synapsys events and member call back requests in a timely manner. Acts as a liaison between members and their insurance and/or GAP companies to recover the highest dollar amount possible in the event of a total loss. Provides administrative support to the department, including mailing of letters and special projects. Negotiates appropriate and reasonable remedies to bring accounts current and analyzes each member's financial standings and projects/reports potential losses.
