This position is full-time (40 hours/week), Monday - Friday. Employees must have flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shifts within normal business hours (7:00 am – 5:00 pm). Occasional overtime may be required based on business needs.

We provide 2 weeks of on-the-job training, scheduled to align with your availability. Enjoy the flexibility to telecommute* from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on meaningful challenges.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Research customer accounts using various computer systems, documenting current status, payment expectations, notes of conversations, and other relevant information.
  • Contact customers via mail, email, and phone to discuss, negotiate payments, and resolve outstanding medical bills.
  • Obtain agreement on payment plans or settlements within your authority and guidelines.
  • Prepare and submit reports on the status of accounts and payment negotiations to management.

Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Proficiency with MS Windows, navigation, mouse, and keyboarding skills.
  • Flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shifts between 7:00 am and 5:00 pm, with occasional overtime as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
  • At least 1 year of experience in a related environment (office, administrative, clerical, customer service) using phones and computers.

  • Ability to keep sensitive documents secure.
  • Dedicated, private work area at home.
  • Reliable high-speed internet connection.
  • Adherence to UnitedHealth Group’s Telecommuter Policy.

The hourly rate ranges from $16.88 to $33.22, based on factors such as location, experience, and certifications.
