Job summary

UnitedHealthcare’s UMR is seeking a Collections Representative to join our onsite team in Wausau, WI. This full-time role requires 40 hours per week on-site, with 8-hour shifts between 7:00 am and 5:00 pm CST, with occasional overtime.

You'll research on systems, contact customers by mail/email/phone to discuss payment, obtain agreement on payoff terms, and file reports to management about balances and settlements.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma / GED OR equivalent work experience
• Must be 18 years of age OR older
• 1+ years of experience in an office, administrative, clerical, OR customer service environment using phones and computers as the primary job tools
• Experience with Microsoft Word (creating & editing documents) and Excel (creating spreadsheets)
• Must reside within a commutable distance to the office located at 115 W Wausau Ave, Wausau, WI 54401
• Ability to full-time on-site (40 hours/ week). Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 7:00 am - 5:00 pm CST. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime.

• Use mail, email and phones to contact customers to discuss, negotiate payment and resolve outstanding medical bill accounts and balances

• Prepare and submits reports to internal management on status of outstanding medical bills and proposed/planned payment settlement details

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $18 - $32 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
