  • Receives, enters, tracks, and bills civil/criminal documents service. Assigns documents and maintains communication with Civil Deputies. Administers documents and billing related to process service.

Hourly Wage: $26.50

About the role:

Processes, administers, and maintains criminal and civil court documents, legal records, and financial collections while interacting with the public, law enforcement agencies, courts, and attorneys. Ensures legal compliance, data accuracy, and customer service, and utilizes multiple law enforcement and legal databases and software.

Essential Functions
  • Conducts criminal records & legal processing, including the administration of criminal records and sensitive case information in compliance with legal standards. Processes subpoena, gun permits, background checks, and other related law enforcement and legal requests.
  • Maintains and updates sex offender records and ensures compliance monitoring.
  • Inputs, reviews, and verifies information within multiple databases. Conducts research and responds to inquiries and verifications.
  • Prepares and maintains a variety of standardized reports.
  • Researches and prepares warrants for parties who have not scheduled their jail time including calculating credit for any previous time served and thoroughly analyzing court orders. Notifies appropriate officers if warrant is issued.
  • Receives, enters, tracks, and bills civil/criminal documents service. Assigns documents and maintains communication with Civil Deputies. Administers documents and billing related to process service.
  • Provides notarization services for the Sheriff's Office.
  • Maintains physical and electronic filing systems.
  • Calculates, collects, and reconciles payments related to fines, court costs, and inmate funds.
  • Develops and manages payment plans and schedules for debt collection. Enforces collection actions (e.g., garnishments, license suspensions). Collaborates with County Attorney offices for court debt collection. Administers and verifies legal processes.
  • Provides phone, online, and in-person customer service. Responds to inquiries and explains Office programs, processes, and procedures.
  • Calculates, verifies, administers, posts, and reconciles payments and processes deposits. Creates journal entries in the accounting system. Conducts purchasing card (PCard) processing. Enters, codes, and verifies purchasing card and other transactions.

  • An equivalent combination of education and experience that demonstrates the required knowledge and skills for this position may be considered.

Monday - Friday 7:42 a.m. - 4:12 p.m.
