Cornerstone Capital Bank is seeking a Collections Specialist in Englewood, CO to provide world-class customer care. The role focuses on negotiating payment plans, educating borrowers about hardship options, and maintaining proactive contact to prevent delinquencies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 2 years mortgage servicing.
• Minimum 2 years of collections experience.
• Bi-lingual skills a plus.
• Strong phone etiquette with exceptional customer service.
• Solid analytical skills and prudent judgment.
• Excellent organization and time management.
• Team player with strong interpersonal and verbal/written communication.
• Ability to work through stressful situations professionally.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate payment arrangements to prevent loan delinquencies.
• Maintain communication with borrowers after payment is received.
• Use skip tracing tools to locate borrowers with outdated contact info.
• Manage inbound and outbound calling queues via an automated system.
• Continuously improve knowledge base and customer experience.
• Perform other job-duty related issues as assigned.

Job description

• Pay or shift range: $22 USD to $27 USD. The estimated range is the budgeted amount for this position. Final offers are based on various factors, including skill set, experience, location, qualifications and other job-related reasons.

***The Hourly rate will be $22-27/hr + bonus based off experience***

The Collection Specialist role is responsible for providing world class customer care to our customers. This position will provide an exceptional level of customer service by taking ownership and responsibility for all activity occurring at CHL and ensuring customers are educated regarding all hardship assistance options offered.

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for negotiating payment arrangements, keeping our borrowers in their homes and keeping loans from turning into 30+ days past-due
• Maintaining an open line of communication with the borrower(s) after payment is received, allowing for early intervention and preempting future delinquencies
• Utilize all available skip tracing tools to locate borrower whose current contact information is inaccurate
• Manage inbound and outbound calling queues via automated calling system
• Continuously improve knowledge base and skillset to ensure maximum level of customer satisfaction and world class customer experience
• Perform other job-duty related issues as assigned

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
• Minimum 2 years of experience in mortgage servicing
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a Collections environment
• Bi-lingual skills a plus
• Strong phone etiquette while having a passion for taking care of customer needs with exceptional customer service skills
• Solid analytical skills with the ability to exercise prudent judgment
