Job summary

Commercial Metals in Irving, TX is seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable professional to manage collections for assigned projects and maintain strong customer relations while ensuring timely payments.

You will perform daily collection calls, document disputes, coordinate with sales, and prepare lien notices and waivers, leveraging SAP and HighRadius to optimize cash flow and reporting.

Qualifications

• 2–5+ years of collections in construction or manufacturing.
• 1+ year experience with lien releases and waivers.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Experience with SAP and HighRadius is a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and deliver strong customer service.

Responsibilities

• Perform collection duties of accounts receivable for an assigned area.
• Complete and document daily collection calls, identify high‑risk accounts, and place accounts in suspension within department guidelines.
• Resolve disputes and negotiate/pay‑outs in a timely manner within department guidelines.
• Document and distribute disputes to the appropriate area, and conduct conferences with sales and/or customers to resolve disputed items.
• Conduct monthly meetings to communicate collection status of balances on assigned accounts with branch and company management.
• Prepare lien notices and bond claims that comply with state statutes to secure account receivable balances; file and record actual lien filings according to state statutes.
• Review open accounts receivable by project, sign legal documents waiving security rights when applicable.

What You’ll Need

• 2 to 5+ years of collection experience in construction or manufacturing environments.
• 1+ year of experience with lien releases and waivers.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Experience with SAP and High Radius is a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment, maintain a professional demeanor in all situations, and commit to excellent customer service at all times.

Your Education

• College degree and/or equivalent experience.
