Job description

About The Role

Join a mission-focused team at the forefront of national defense space operations. As an Intermediate Intelligence Analyst supporting Collection Management for a critical space warfighting mission, you will play a pivotal role in transforming intelligence requirements into actionable collection strategies that protect vital space and ground assets. In this highly visible position, you will develop and manage overhead collection tasking, optimize intelligence collection resources, and ensure mission requirements are effectively balanced against available collection capacities. Your expertise will directly support mission planning, threat warning, and operational decision‑making by identifying key indications and warnings (I&W), assessing adversary capabilities, and documenting risks and impacts to mission success. Working closely with Mission Ground Stations (MGSs), flight safety teams, operational leaders, and Intelligence Community partners, you will help shape the future of mission protection through the integration of advanced I&W capabilities, development of operational TTPs, and continuous improvement of collection management processes. The ideal candidate combines deep intelligence expertise, operational insight, and strategic thinking to enable mission success in a dynamic and rapidly evolving space domain.

Key Responsibilities
  • Apply advanced intelligence analysis expertise to lead mission‑critical efforts and deliver actionable space intelligence to decision‑makers across six geographically dispersed space operations centers.
  • Manage intelligence collection requirements and requests through established community processes and systems, including the Space Collections Working Group, SOCC Sensor Collection Requests, NSA Intelligence Needs, National MASINT Requirements System (NMRS), COLISEUM, and related collection management frameworks.
  • Translate mission partner Essential Elements of Information (EEIs) into operationally relevant collection requirements and tasking strategies.
  • Develop intelligence assessments with an operational focus, identifying emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and opportunities to enhance organizational space domain awareness.
  • Identify, assess, and communicate indications and warnings associated with foreign space and ground‑based threat systems that could impact mission operations.
  • Support the integration, testing, and operational transition of new I&W tools and capabilities to ensure alignment with mission requirements and program objectives.
  • Maintain awareness of collection capacities, operational constraints, and mission priorities while identifying and managing risks, issues, and opportunities (RIOs).
  • Advise and support training development, contingency planning, and operational exercise activities.
  • Collaborate across mission protection, flight safety, engineering, planning, strategy, and Mission Ground Station teams to synchronize intelligence support and collection activities.
  • Maintain critical intelligence data resources and system expertise required to support real‑world mission operations and event response procedures.
  • Develop and refine tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs) that improve mission protection, intelligence integration, and operational effectiveness.
  • Assess threats to mission‑critical space and ground assets and provide timely warning and risk assessments to operational leaders.
  • Lead and participate in meetings, working groups, and executive‑level briefings, serving as a trusted space intelligence advisor to senior military and civilian government stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum of 12 years w/o a degree or 10 years with AS/AA or 8 years with BS/BA or 6 years with MS/MA
  • 4+ years of experience supporting Defensive Space Control and/or intelligence analysis missions.
  • Advanced knowledge of foreign and domestic space and ground‑system threat capabilities.
  • Active TS/SCI clearance with adjudicated Polygraph.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Expert‑level understanding of foreign and domestic space and ground‑based threat capabilities.
  • Extensive experience in all‑source intelligence analysis, collection management, and/or collection operations.
  • 2+ years of experience supporting the National Reconnaissance Office (NRO).
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of orbital mechanics and space mission applications.
  • Experience supporting joint, interagency, and multi‑organizational exercise planning and execution.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate effectively within high‑tempo operational environments while coordinating across diverse stakeholder communities.
  • Strong briefing and communication skills with experience advising senior military, intelligence, and civilian leadership.
