Job summary

RR Donnelley is seeking a Collator Operator for the 3rd shift in Osage, IA. You will set up and operate collating and labeling machines to create value-added in-process materials per customer specifications.

The role requires reading work orders, knowledge of paper stock, and precise finishing. You will perform safety checks, monitor production, and ensure dimensional accuracy throughout the run.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret written work orders or other job specifications.
• Knowledge of the quality and machining requirements of various coated and uncoated types of paper stock.
• Skill in setting up and adjusting machines for finishing operations and to refine such adjustments for the weight, color, machinability and quality of paper stock being used and to prevent machining impressions on the printed materials.
• Must be able to calculate distances, clearances, and fits in combining machines.
• Skill in using the full range of standard and specialized tools and devices to adjust and maintain the functional accuracy and operating conditions of the collating machines.
• General knowledge of the collating/label application machines to perform the full range of standard and specialized folds, gluing, perforating and cutting of printed materials
• Thorough knowledge of the set up, operating requirements, procedures, capabilities and limitations of the collating machine to perform the full range of standard and specialized folding, collating and cutting of printed materials to complete a combined finishing product

• Equipment operated may perform functions related to assembling and perforating signatures, stapling, gluing, folding, or cutting sheets of paper, forms, or signatures in specified sequence to form completed sets or die cut and apply labels or films to paper substrates
• Perform safety inspections, document problems, and track production during operation

• Collator Operator - 3rd Shift

Starting min rate of $25.44hr (including shift differential)

Schedule

-Sunday (11p) - Friday (7am)

-11:00pm - 7:00am

-Occasional overtime may be required including weekends

-$3/hr shift premium

Additional Information

The pay range for this role at the noted location is $22.44 - $31.62 per hour. The actual rate of pay offered may vary based upon, but not limited to education, skills, experience, proficient, performance, shift, and location. In addition to the base salary, depending on the role, the total compensation package may also include a sign‑on bonus, overtime, shift differential, call‑in and stand‑by pay.
