Join to apply for the Collateral Underwriter role at The Federal Savings Bank.

This position is within our Appraisal Management department, focusing on reviewing and evaluating appraisals to confirm value support. The role reports to the Vice President of Collateral Underwriting.

Job Details:

• Type: Full-time
• Location: Remote (Pacific Time preferred)

Responsibilities:

• Understand enhanced conditions workflow within Encompass
• Manage daily appraisal pipeline
• Assess appraisal quality and justification
• Review and recommend revisions for appraisals
• Stay updated on agency, FHA, and VA appraisal guidelines
• Review CU and LCA scores for alerts
• Use Fannie Mae's Collateral Underwriter for comparables

Minimum Requirements:

• 4-year degree or relevant mortgage experience
• 2+ years in collateral or credit underwriting
• Proficiency with Encompass and Microsoft Office
• Active SAR and DE certifications
• Attention to detail, multitasking, and deadline adherence
• Knowledge of appraisal guidelines and AIR requirements
• Flexible schedule, especially during peak periods
• Excellent communication skills
• Availability to work 9:00am-6:00pm Pacific Time with flexibility for extended hours
