Please review the following job description:

This role will be remote within the Truist footprint.

Responsibilities:

  1. Motivate and lead a collateral review team to ensure pipeline metrics and quality goals are executed with sustained success.
  2. Lead and manage assigned appraisal analysts to ensure that pipeline metrics and quality guidelines are met.
  3. Develop and maintain a strong understanding of Mortgage Lending products and ensure adherence to all collateral risk management policies, procedures, controls, and regulations.
  4. Monitor collateral trends and provide feedback, coaching, and training as needed.
  5. Identify and determine next steps for escalated collateral issues.
  6. Perform second-tier reviews of collateral documentation as required.
  7. Develop relationships with other departments and sales teams.
  8. Act as a collateral escalation point between departments and sales.
  9. Resolve or coordinate resolution of client service problems.
  10. Recruit, develop, mentor, and retain high-performing team members.
  11. Manage day-to-day operations of the appraisal analysis team.

Qualifications:

Required:
  • Seven or more years of mortgage or consumer loan underwriting experience.
  • Three years of collateral review experience.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to travel occasionally overnight.
Preferred:
  • State-certified or licensed appraiser.
  • FHA DE (CHUMS) / VA SAR/LAPP certification.
  • Understanding of appraisal compliance and standards.
  • Experience with appraisal and market evaluation tools.
  • Proficiency in mortgage processing systems.
  • Basic knowledge of bank services and products.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and training.
