Job summary

Champions Funding LLC is seeking a fully remote Residential Appraisal Reviewer to order, track, and analyze property appraisals for Non-QM loan products. You will review reports for USPAP/AIR compliance, analyze valuations and market trends, and coordinate revisions with AMCs and underwriters.

Strong analytical skills, licensing, and LOS familiarity are essential for this role. You will work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment, maintaining accuracy, timelines, and professional communication

Qualifications

  • Active state-licensed or state-certified residential appraiser license in good standing (required).
  • 3+ years of experience in residential real estate appraisal or mortgage collateral review.
  • Experience evaluating investment properties, rural, unique, or complex residential properties.
  • Familiarity with appraisal platforms and LOS systems (e.g., Encompass, Lending QB, MeridianLink).
  • Excellent analytical, valuation, and risk assessment skills.
  • Clear, professional written and verbal communication abilities.
  • High attention to detail with strong time-management skills.
  • Ability to manage high-volume workflows in a fast-paced environment.
  • Collaborative, self-motivated professional with a commitment to quality and compliance.
  • This is a fully remote position.
  • UAD 3.6- familiar with the URAR

Responsibilities

  • Order, track, and manage residential appraisals through approved AMCs.
  • Review appraisal reports for accuracy, completeness, and USPAP/AIR compliance.
  • Apply licensed appraisal expertise to analyze valuations, market conditions, and comps.
  • Evaluate collateral for Non-QM loan products (DSCR, bank statement, investment property).
  • Identify red flags, including unsupported adjustments and poor comp selection.
  • Document collateral findings clearly and elevate valuation risks to underwriting.
  • Coordinate appraisal revisions, ROVs, and property-related conditions.
  • Communicate with AMCs, underwriters, brokers, and internal teams to resolve issues.
  • Ensure appraisal turn times and SLAs are met.
  • Stay current on appraisal regs, licensing, market trends, and overlays.
  • Participate in audits, quality control reviews, and internal calibration.
