Job summary

Organogenesis is seeking a Production Associate I - Collagen to perform collagen production activities including protein purification, filtration, and titration in a regulated environment. The role reports to a team leader and requires adherence to cGMP in a clean room setting.

Hours are Monday–Friday 7:30 am–4:00 pm with some weekends/holidays. The position emphasizes documentation, equipment operation, and cross-functional support within a growth-focused manufacturing team.

Qualifications

• B.S. or A.S. in a biological science or equivalent.
• 0-2 years of relevant experience.
• Knowledge of cGMP and clean room environment preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a cold room (2-8°C).
• Proficiency with basic laboratory techniques such as pipets and balances.

Responsibilities

• Produce collagen by performing protein extraction, purification, filtrations and dilutions following cGMP.
• Run in-process testing, assays and titrations as part of quality control.
• Operate and maintain specialized equipment including a continuous flow centrifuge.
• Clean, assemble, and sterilize glassware and equipment when needed.
• Complete production documentation in a timely manner.
• Follow safety policies and handle chemical safety procedures with care.
• Support process optimization and scale-up activities as needed.
• Assist Engineering and Facilities during calibration, validation, or repair.
• Maintain laboratory inventory and write deviation reports when necessary.
