Job summary

Phoenix Charter Academy is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to provide specialized instruction and support to students with disabilities. You will ensure IEPs are properly implemented and that students’ needs are met academically and emotionally, working closely with families and colleagues.

Ideal candidates will have a strong knowledge of special education laws and experience collaborating with diverse learners in inclusive settings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in special education.
• Knowledge of IEP processes, laws, and policies.
• Experience with diverse learners and disabilities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to collaborate with colleagues, parents, and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement IEPs for students with disabilities.
• Assess student progress using formal and informal methods.
• Adapt materials to meet individual needs and learning styles.
• Collaborate with general education teachers for inclusive practices.
• Provide direct instruction in small group or one-on-one settings.
• Monitor progress and adjust strategies as needed.
• Communicate with parents and stakeholders about student progress.
• Attend and contribute to IEP meetings.
