Job summary

Foundation Academy of Mansfield in Mansfield, Ohio, is seeking an Instructional Aide to assist the Teacher with classroom activities and promote positive student behavior in academics and activities.

The Instructional Aide provides oversight to ensure student safety and a positive school climate, assisting with duties, technology use, and school activities while supporting teachers and school leaders.

Qualifications

• Associate degree, two years of college coursework, or the passage of the Paraprofessional’s Exam.
• Proficiency in MS Office.
• BCI/FBI background check clearance required.
• Ability to meet educational standards as applicable.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Ability to handle confidential information.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Physical ability to lift 25–40 lbs.
• Experience in a school or social services setting is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support lessons taught by the teacher and assist groups.
• Assist with classroom activities and student relations.
• Assist with school activities (events, committees, etc.).
• Perform clerical duties (grading, copies).
• Assist with classroom technology.
• Maintain cleanliness of classroom and lunchroom.
• Uphold school philosophy and mission in all activities.
• Perform additional duties (field trips, duty posts).
• Work cooperatively with teachers and administrators.
• Contribute to a positive climate and culture.
