Job summary

UCLA Health is seeking a Licensed Acupuncturist/TCM Practitioner to deliver acupuncture and related therapies within an integrative care model. You will work under physician supervision and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to create individualized treatment plans for diverse patient populations.

The role emphasizes comprehensive patient assessments, education, and coordination with care teams to optimize outcomes.

Qualifications

• Master's degree from ACAOM-accredited program or equivalent.
• At least 2 years clinical acupuncture and therapeutic massage experience.
• California Acupuncture Board-approved supervised internship/training.
• Knowledge of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) principles and treatment methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Conduct patient assessments, including health histories and physical evaluations, to determine TCM diagnoses and treatment plans.
• Develop, implement, and document individualized treatment plans.
• Provide acupuncture treatments in accordance with TCM principles and best practices.
• Perform complementary therapies, including therapeutic massage, soft tissue and muscle manipulation, trigger point therapy, cupping, and moxibustion.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on self-care techniques, lifestyle modifications, exercise, and nutrition to support treatment outcomes.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to provide coordinated, patient-centered care.
