Position Summary: The Collaboration Administrator is responsible for the administration, security, governance, optimization, and operational support of Mohegan's enterprise collaboration and productivity platforms. The role administers Microsoft 365 services including Microsoft Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive for Business, Exchange Online, Microsoft Purview capabilities, Copilot for Microsoft 365, and related workplace technologies. This position partners with Infrastructure, Information Security, Service Desk, Application Development, Legal and Compliance, and business stakeholders to deliver reliable, secure, and intuitive collaboration services. The administrator promotes platform adoption, lifecycle governance, automation, data protection, user enablement, and continuous improvement across enterprise locations.
Administers and supports Microsoft Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive for Business, Exchange Online, Forms and other approved Microsoft 365 services. Manages tenant and workload configurations, administrative roles, service policies, licensing, permissions, integrations, and feature releases. Monitors Microsoft 365 service health, message center notifications, adoption trends, capacity, performance, and availability; coordinates response to service-impacting events. Evaluates new capabilities and recommends platform improvements aligned with business needs, enterprise architecture, security, supportability, and cost.
Implements and maintains Teams governance, including team creation, naming, ownership, expiration, archival, guest access, external collaboration, applications, meetings, webinars, and conferencing policies. Troubleshoots complex client, meeting, calling, presence, federation, and collaboration issues in partnership with network, endpoint, identity, and vendor teams.
Administers SharePoint Online sites, hub sites, site collections, permissions, sharing controls, storage, navigation, search, and lifecycle standards. Supports intranet, departmental, project, and collaboration workspaces, as well as document management and content migration initiatives. Manages OneDrive configuration, sharing, synchronization, retention, ownership transfer, and data recovery processes.
Applies least-privilege and Zero Trust principles to collaboration platforms, administrative access, applications, guest access, and external sharing. Partners with Information Security and Compliance to implement data classification, sensitivity labels, retention, records management, eDiscovery, legal hold, data loss prevention, auditing, and insider-risk controls as assigned. Reviews platform access, excessive permissions, orphaned resources, inactive workspaces, risky applications, and external-sharing exposure; coordinates remediation with owners. Supports internal audits and applicable privacy, SOX, gaming regulatory, legal, and corporate policy requirements.
Supports collaboration-related identity and access controls within Microsoft Entra ID, including groups, enterprise applications, conditional access dependencies, and privileged administration. Uses PowerShell, Microsoft Graph, Power Automate, APIs, and approved tooling to automate administration, reporting, lifecycle management, provisioning, and compliance tasks. Supports approved integrations between Microsoft 365 and enterprise systems while ensuring appropriate authentication, authorization, data handling, monitoring, and ownership.
Supports deployment, administration, adoption, and governance of Copilot for Microsoft 365 and other approved AI-enabled productivity capabilities. Partners with security, privacy, legal, information governance, and business teams to promote responsible AI use and appropriate data-access practices. Evaluates emerging digital workplace technologies and conducts pilots, technical assessments, and recommendations for enterprise use.
Provides advanced technical support for collaboration services and fulfills incidents, requests, problems, and escalations within established service expectations. Performs root cause analysis, documents corrective actions, and implements improvements that reduce recurring incidents and user disruption. Participates in Change, Incident, Problem, Release, Configuration, and Knowledge Management processes. Participates in an on-call rotation and provides occasional after-hours support for maintenance, incidents, migrations, releases, and critical business events.
Develops administrator documentation, architecture diagrams, operating procedures, support runbooks, standards, user guides, and knowledge articles. Creates communications, training materials, office hours, workshops, and adoption resources that help employees use collaboration tools securely and effectively. Provides technical guidance and cross-training to Service Desk and IT teams to improve first-contact resolution and reduce single-resource dependency.
Maintains confidentiality and privacy in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, contractual requirements, and Mohegan policies. Coordinates with Microsoft, managed service providers, telecommunications partners, software vendors, and consultants as assigned. Supports platform migrations, mergers and acquisitions, tenant consolidation, business continuity, disaster recovery, and cyber-recovery activities. Maintains accurate records for licenses, configurations, service ownership, vendor support, technical dependencies, and platform roadmaps. Promotes superior customer service, professional communication, teamwork, and continual improvement.
Provides secondary administration and operational support for enterprise server virtualization platforms, including VMware vSphere, VMware Cloud Foundation, Microsoft Hyper‑V, and related management technologies, as assigned. Assists with provisioning, configuration, maintenance, monitoring, patching, and lifecycle management of virtual machines, hypervisor hosts, clusters, templates, and supporting infrastructure components. Supports virtualization-related incident response, troubleshooting, performance analysis, capacity planning, and issue resolution in partnership with Infrastructure Engineering and vendor support teams. Participates in virtualization platform upgrades, migrations, hardware refreshes, datacenter modernization initiatives, and platform-standardization efforts. Assists with maintaining the availability and recoverability of virtual infrastructure, including backup integration, replication, high availability, business continuity, disaster recovery, and cyber-recovery testing. Maintains virtualization documentation, configuration records, operational procedures, support runbooks, architecture diagrams, and knowledge articles for assigned technologies. Provides secondary support for Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, certificate services, file services, and related enterprise infrastructure technologies when required. Provides secondary administration and operational support for the Okta Identity and Access Management (IAM) platform, including application integrations, Single Sign-On (SSO), Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), lifecycle management, and user provisioning processes. Partners with Information Security and Infrastructure teams to maintain secure authentication standards, strengthen identity controls, troubleshoot access issues, and support Zero Trust security initiatives.
