Job summary

Thriveworks is seeking a Supervising Psychiatrist to remotely supervise our Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners in Texas and ensure QA compliance. The role requires an active Texas license, DEA registration, and 3+ years of practice (or 1+ year if board-certified).

You will coordinate supervision across multiple NPs and align with company policies. The position offers full remote work with limited in-state travel, competitive compensation per NP supervised, and ongoing professional development

Qualifications

• Must hold an active TX medical license and DEA registration.
• 3+ years of practice in psychiatry (or 1+ year if board-certified or hospital-based).
• Minimum 2 years supervising residents or mid-level clinicians.

Responsibilities

• Provide remote clinical supervision to Board Certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners.
• Conduct quarterly QA with each NP and respond to questions M–F during business hours.
• Review charts/progress notes per state regulations and company guidelines.
• Complete monthly supervision documentation for each NP and stay updated on HR program requirements.

We do not currently treat substance use disorders, and we make every effort to refer out to an in-person provider when symptoms arise that are too severe to be treated via telemedicine only***Collaborators must have an active TX license and a DEACompensation:Once the NP starts seeing patients, compensation to the collaborating physician will be $800 per month, per NPKey ResponsibilitiesWork remotely to provide clinical supervision to our employed Board Certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners. Conduct quarterly QA with each NP.
