Thriveworks is seeking a Supervising Psychiatrist in Mississippi to join our team. The role involves remote supervision of Board Certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners, standard QA reviews, and ensuring compliance with Thriveworks policies.

The ideal candidate holds an MD/DO in Psychiatry with MS licensure, and has 2+ years supervising residents or mid-level staff. The position is fully remote with in-state MS requirements and regular monthly supervision duties.

Qualifications

• MD/DO in Psychiatry.
• Active and Unrestricted Licenses in MS; compact license or multi-state licensure.
• Minimum of 2 years supervising residents or mid-levels.
• Willing to supervise at least 4 NPs.
• No malpractice payout, licensure disciplinary action or criminal investigations in the last 5 years.
• Compact license or be willing to obtain one; multi-state licensing encouraged.
• Practice medicine in-person 20 hours per week or 80 hours per month in Mississippi.

Responsibilities

• Provide remote clinical supervision to Board Certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners.
• Conduct quarterly QA meetings via video with each NP; respond to questions M-F during business hours.
• Review 10% or 20 charts per provider per month.
• Provide additional supervision as needed based on clinical complexity.
• Submit a 1-page Google Doc after monthly supervision for each NP.
• Stay updated on company policies and program guidelines.
• Complete annual HR-mandated training.

About the Job

Thriveworks is seeking a Supervising Psychiatrist to join our growing team of highly talented mental health professionals! The ideal candidate will share our commitment to quality healthcare and exceptional patient service.

In an effort to maintain safety and best practices for our clinicians and patients via telemedicine. We do not currently treat substance use disorders, and make every effort to refer out to an in-person provider when symptoms arise that are too severe to be treated via telemedicine only

Collaborators must be licensed, live in Mississippi, and practice medicine in-person at least 20 hours per week or 80 hours per month.

Compensation

• Once the NP starts seeing patients, compensation to the collaborating physician will be $800 per month, per NP

Key Responsibilities

• Work remotely to provide clinical supervision to our employed Board Certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners. Conduct quarterly QA meetings via video with each NP. Availability via text/email to answer questions is required M-F during business hours, with a response within the same business day.
• Conduct review of 10% or 20 charts (whichever is less) per provider per month
• Provider may request additional supervision of the NP based on clinical need or complexity of NP practice
• Completion of a short 1-page Google Document after monthly supervision for each collaborating NP
• Stay knowledgeable of company policies and program guidelines
• Complete annual training as required by the HR department

Requirements

• MD/DO in Psychiatry
• Active and Unrestricted Licenses in MS, and must live in the state of MS.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience supervising residents or mid-levels
• Must be willing to take a minimum of 4 NP’s
• No malpractice payout, licensure disciplinary action, or criminal/professional investigations in the last 5 years
• You must have a compact license or be willing to get one or be licensed in multiple states.
• Practice medicine in-person 20 hours per week or 80 hours per month in the state of Mississippi.
