Job summary

Thriveworks is seeking a Supervising Psychiatrist to lead remote supervision for our team of Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners in California and beyond. The role requires CA licensure, board certification, and experience supervising NPs.

You will coordinate monthly supervision sessions, review clinical notes, and ensure adherence to state laws and Thriveworks policies. The position offers fully remote work with flexible scheduling and opportunities for professional development.

Qualifications

• Licensed in CA with active, unrestricted psychiatry license.
• Minimum 2 years of experience supervising residents or mid-level providers.
• Willing to supervise at least 4 NPs.
• Compact license or multi-state license is required or willingness to obtain.
• No malpractice payouts or active investigations in the last 5 years.

Responsibilities

• Provide remote clinical supervision to employed Board Certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners.
• Conduct a minimum of 1 supervision session per NP per month (20–30 minutes) via Zoom.
• Review charts and progress notes as required by state laws.
• Complete monthly supervision documentation for each NP.
• Stay current with Thriveworks policies and complete annual HR training.

The ideal candidate will share our commitment to quality healthcare and exceptional patient service.We do not currently treat substance use disorders, and make every effort to refer out to an in-person provider when symptoms arise that are too severe to be treated via telemedicine only***Collaborators must be licensed in the state of CACompensation:Once the NP starts seeing patients, compensation to the collaborating physician will be $800 per month, per NPKey ResponsibilitiesWork remotely to provide clinical supervision to our employed Board Certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners. Provide a minimum of 1 time/month supervision (20-30 minutes) per NP using Zoom link provided by Thriveworks.
