Job summary

Upperline Health Inc. is seeking a collaborative physician to provide clinical oversight for our Nurse Practitioners in South Carolina. This part-time role focuses on mentoring, quality improvement, and advancing value‑based care within a collaborative team.

You will conduct chart reviews, offer clinical consultation, and help ensure compliance with state regulations while supporting NP onboarding and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• MD or DO with an active, unrestricted medical license.
• Board Certified in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or a related specialty.
• Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience, preferably in primary care or chronic disease management.
• Experience collaborating with or supervising Nurse Practitioners.
• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR).
• Knowledge of state collaborative practice regulations.
• Strong communication and leadership skills with a commitment to team-based, value-driven care.
• Responsibilities include chart reviews, NP collaboration, and participation in virtual team meetings.
• Compensation commensurate with experience and level of engagement.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the collaborating physician for Upperline Health Nurse Practitioners in South Carolina in accordance with state Medical Board requirements.
• Provide clinical consultation, guidance, and support to NPs on patient care and complex treatment plans.
• Conduct chart reviews and periodic assessments of NP documentation to ensure compliance, quality, and alignment with Upperline protocols and state regulations.
• Participate in scheduled meetings with NPs as required by state law and company policy.
• Be available for timely communication and collaboration via phone, secure messaging, or virtual meetings.
• Support NP onboarding, education, and clinical development, fostering consistency in care delivery.
• Partner with regional and operational leaders to ensure regulatory compliance and clinical excellence.
