Job summary

The Facilities Group National is hiring a Cleaner for our Shelbyville cold storage distribution center. Morning shift, full-time. You will clean and sanitize spaces, handle waste, stock supplies, and work in refrigerated areas with provided protective gear.

No prior experience required; on-site training is provided. You will operate a pallet jack, follow safety procedures, and report any spills or equipment issues. Benefits include health, vision, life, and a 401(k).

Qualifications

• Janitorial or commercial cleaning experience is helpful but not required; training is provided.
• Ability to work in cold storage areas for extended periods.
• Ability to follow instructions, safety procedures, and cleaning schedules.
• Ability to operate a pallet jack after completing on-site training.
• Dependable attendance and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize assigned areas, including floors, restrooms, break rooms, offices, and other facility spaces.
• Sweep, mop, scrub, and spot-clean floors using approved equipment and cleaning products.
• Collect, sort, and dispose of trash and recycling according to site procedures.
• Operate a pallet jack daily to move cleaning supplies and disposal containers, following on-site training and all facility safety procedures.
• Work in cold storage areas when assigned, using required protective clothing and equipment.
• Refill dispensers and maintain cleaning supplies; report low stock or equipment problems to a supervisor.
• Follow sanitation, chemical handling, food safety, and personal protective equipment requirements.
• Report spills, damage, unsafe conditions, or maintenance concerns promptly.
• Complete assigned cleaning tasks and checklists within the scheduled shift.
