Job summary

Hickman’s Family Farms is seeking a Warehouse Associate to support dry and refrigerated operations. You will handle inventory, loading/unloading, and pallet movements in a safe, GMP-compliant environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to become pallet jack and forklift certified.
• Basic math skills and ability to read and understand instructions.
• Capable of standing and walking for up to 8 hours per shift or more.
• Ability to lift and carry 30-50 lbs. throughout the shift.
• Comfortable working in cold environments (40°F and below).

Responsibilities

• Communicate with front office staff regarding incoming loads and material needs
• Receive, verify, and accurately record all incoming and outgoing materials and products
• Load and unload trailers, including inspecting trailers and verifying temperatures when required
• Maintain accurate inventory through counts, cycle counts, and proper documentation
• Follow First In, First Out (FIFO) procedures to ensure proper product rotation
• Operate scanners and ERP systems (e.g., NAVISION) for product tracking and bin movements
• Complete daily paperwork for inventory, loading, and unloading activities
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe warehouse and cooler environments
• Operate forklifts and pallet jacks safely and efficiently
• Monitor equipment and report maintenance needs promptly
• Follow all company GMP, SOP, and safety requirements
