Job summary

UNFI, the leading distributor of conventional, natural, organic and specialty products in the United States and Canada, is seeking an Inventory Control professional for our distribution team. You will track inventory records, oversee cycle counts, monitor product velocity, and help prevent shrink and mis-slots while supporting safe operation of equipment.

The role emphasizes accurate data, strong teamwork, and adherence to company procedures.

Qualifications

Capable of operating powered equipment with safety awareness.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships.

Responsibilities

Track and maintain SOX compliance relative to 3rd party audit and company standards.
Schedule and coordinate all physical inventories and cycle counts.
Prepare physical inventory recaps for distribution to management.
Review and develop inventory control procedures as appropriate.
Identify and resolve internal shrink problems.
Monitor and process daily reports for inventory control.
Maintain records retention per corporate guidelines.
Perform basic slotting functions as needed.
Research mis-slots and verify pick slots and back stock.
Monitor returns and salvage programs, and track product velocity and losses.
