Job summary

MEDLOG Cold Storage in Rincon, GA is hiring a warehouse MHE high-reach operator for night shifts. You will move pallets, access heights up to 55 feet, and work in freezer environments.

You will follow BRCGS, HACCP, FDA/USDA guidelines, perform daily inspections, and keep areas safe and sanitary. Experience is preferred but not required; forklift certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily MHE inspections to ensure safe operation.
• Retrieve and put away pallets in high-reach racks (8–55 ft) in freezer
• Operate ride-on double pallet jack and other equipment.
• Maintain safe, sanitary work area and comply with OSHA rules.
• Stamp export cases per FDA/USDA regulations.
• Coordinate work with warehouse leadership and training as needed.

Position Summary

The warehouse MHE high-reach operator job functions are related to the movement of goods and materials within the facility with a high-reach truck. These lifts are designed to work in narrow aisles and put away and retrieve pallets at heights from 8 to up to 55 feet. The high-reach operator will work in the freezer and blast freezer.

Shift: 11pm - 0730am

• Comply with facility food safety and defense programs as outlined in the BRCGS requirements.


• Conduct daily inspections of the MHE to ensure its safety and ability to perform necessary operations.


• Retrieve and put away pallets in double deep pushback racking with heights 8 to 55 feet.


• Comply with company policies and procedures along with all customer requirements.


• Maintain and work in accordance with the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) rules.


• Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.


• Stamp cases for export in accordance with FDA/USDA regulations.


• Operation of various material handling equipment. Mainly use of a ride on double pallet jack.


• Maintain a safe and sanitary work area.


• Operate under HACCP guidelines for the safe and secure handling of fresh and frozen proteins.


• Pallet movement/product handling within unloading, loading, slip sheet attachment, layer pick attachment and other product movement tasks within the facility.


• Ability to use handheld or lift mounted computers (RF) to process the workload.


• Coordinate work with the warehouse leadership and efficiently carry out those work assignments.


• Complete required training for license renewal as required.


• Ability to work in a refrigerated and freezer environment with temperatures ranging from +38 to -27 degrees\".


• Manually handle cases to build pallets and unload ocean containers. Ability to handle different types and weights of proteins.


• Move product to designated staging areas for put-away, short term staging, and loading/final shipment.


• Operation of slatting equipment and de-slatting automation.

Education/Experience

• High school graduate or general education degree (GED) from an accredited institution with related


• Experience preferred, but not required, or an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.


• Forklift certification is not required but is desired.

Knowledge & Skill Requirements

• Must be able to work independently as well as in a team environment.


• Ability to work overtime and weekends as required to meet customer expectations.


• Must have a solid work ethic, excellent interpersonal skills, and ability to work well with others.


• Ability to efficiently coordinate work with co-workers and take instructions from leadership.


• Awareness of the food safety requirements and company procedures for properly handling goods and supplies.
