Job summary

Adecco Portugal is seeking a Forklift Operator for an on-site, full-time role in Romeoville. The position is temporary with potential for permanent employment based on performance. Work hours are 2:00 p.m.

to 10:00 p.m. in a cold storage environment, with PPE provided to ensure safety and productivity. Responsibilities include operating a stand-up forklift, pallet handling, and inventory support while adhering to safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of stand-up forklift experience in a warehouse or similar setting.
• Ability to follow safety procedures in a cold storage environment.
• Strong communication skills to coordinate with supervisors and coworkers.
• Proven forklift operation skills, including maneuvering in tight spaces and racks.
• Attention to detail to ensure secure pallet stacking and inventory accuracy.
• Reliable team player able to work afternoon/evening shift.

Responsibilities

• Operate a stand-up forklift safely in a freezer warehouse and follow all safety rules.
• Move, load, and unload pallets using a stand-up forklift with secure stacking.
• Follow warehouse safety compliance and PPE usage at all times.
• Handle and stack loads in racking and storage areas with stable pallets.
• Assist with inventory handling and basic stock organization as required.
