Job summary

Precision Medicine Group is seeking a Facilities & Cold Storage Technician for Frederick, MD. The role focuses on daily monitoring of freezers and environmental storage units, with preventive maintenance and simple to intermediate repairs of refrigeration and monitoring systems.

You will participate in a 15-point inspection routine, assist in generator maintenance, and support specimen relocations as required. The position involves on-site work in a cold environment and on-call shifts.

Qualifications

• Must have ability to install low voltage electrical wiring.
• DOT certified medical exam card as per 49 CFR 391.41-391.49, or willingness to obtain.
• Must be able to drive vehicles up to 25,999 lbs GVW.
• Must maintain a safe driving record and provide annual proof.

Responsibilities

• Monitor environmental storage units and respond to alarms according to procedures.
• Perform preventive maintenance and light repairs on refrigeration equipment.
• Inspect and service refrigeration, lab equipment, monitoring systems and emergency generators.
• Assist in specimen relocations and on-call rotations as needed.
• Lift up to 50 lbs and work in cold freezer environments.
