Job description

As the Header Operator you would be responsible for setting up and operating headers/boltmakers.

Job title: Cold Header Operator
Location: Euclid
Salary: Starting pay is $26-$30/hr based on experience
Shift: 1^st shift 6:00am - 4:30pm, Monday-Thursday. Availability to work OT on Friday.
Temp to Hire opportunity with the company.

Duties/Responsibilities

1. Setup and operate one or more headers/boltmakers.
2. Read blueprints and job routers to determine part specifications and order requirements.
3. Use gages and measuring instruments to make sure parts conform to specification.
4. Determine and locate required tooling to manufacture part.
5. Install and adjust all tooling to produce part per specification.
6. Adjust and make minor repairs to machine such as fingers, springs, transfers, wire straighteners, etc.
7. Verify conformance of first piece production, making sure all dimensions are in conformance with print specifications using proper measuring instruments.
8. Tear down setup after job is complete.
9. Prepare daily production reports.
10. Learn and practice preventative maintenance on machinery and tooling.

Skills/Qualifications

1. Previous experience in working with cold header machines preferred, will consider experience with setting up and operating other metal forming machines.
2. Must be able to lift 50 lbs independently, and stand for up to 10-hour shift.
3. Able to read blueprints and use inspection tools. Must be able to do basic math.
4. Will be subject to a 10-panel drug screen and other pre-employment screening.
